This morning Pat and Brian came to visit…
 

…this afternoon/evening we celebrated one week since Alistair was born…

It has been a very busy day. This morning Steve made it all official by registering Alistair’s birth.

Auntie Katherine and Richard came all the way from Edinburgh
to visit us this afternoon…
    
Apparently Alistair wishes to grow up to be a ‘Little Chef’
(see fourth picture above)

…and they took some photos for us of our new family.
  

We also recorded our first movie of Alistair, with his Auntie Katherine.

The midwife visited again today, and Alistair had his heel prick test.
All is well with both Abbie and Alistair.
  

Daddy and Alistair took a trip out to the Post Office this afternoon…
 

…and this evening Alistair received his first bath at home.
    
You can see his reaction, hence the blog title!

The last couple of days and nights have been ‘fun’ as Alistair adjusts to his new home, and we adjust to sharing it with him!  The midwife came to visit on Saturday morning and mother and baby are both doing fine.
  

On Sunday Alistair was introduced to Adam and Pippa for the first time…
  

…and we went for our first walk (or push!) around the block.

Thank you to everyone for their cards, text messages and e-mails -
we all feel very loved and supported.
We are also amazed at how quickly our news has travelled!

Abbie and Alistair were discharged from hospital today -
thank you to Alison for helping us.
   

All three of us are now safely at home.
   

Mummy is recovering well in hospital, Alistair has discovered his vocal chords…
  

…and we received our first visitor – “Hello Rob!”
 

Abbie, Steve and Pudsey over Christmas…
